Game systems // world-building playground

Battleforge

A technical fantasy sandbox for strategy rules, browser play, maps, lore systems, and mechanics that earn their keep.

What it is

Battleforge is a game and world-building playground for testing interactive systems in the browser. It gives Sam room to work on fantasy strategy, map logic, lore, progression, and game feel without pretending the whole universe is finished.

Why it matters

Games are a brutal test of systems thinking. Rules, state, feedback, pacing, and player motivation all have to cooperate, which makes Battleforge both a creative outlet and a useful technical practice field.

What is being built

The build direction includes game logic, interactive map concepts, strategy mechanics, lore systems, progression, web UI patterns, and small playable slices that can prove what actually feels good.

Planned capabilities

  • Browser-based strategy and game logic experiments
  • Interactive maps and tactical interfaces
  • World-building, lore, and faction systems
  • Progression and player-state concepts
  • Prototype mechanics tested before broad expansion

Status

Prototype / Concept. The project is exploratory and ambitious, not presented as a complete game.
